Unbelievable, I found incredible information about the higher necromancers - The Liches. When necromanser become the Lich, he gets opportunities for research that are inaccessible to mortals. The most important thing for them becomes a study of the plane of death - the possessions of the God of Death. This is a very dangerous place, even for the Lich. The plane of death is hostile to perceive any creature that has free will. On the plane of death icy, piercing wind constantly blowing , and it often brings clouds of dust. It makes all a nonmagical movement extremely difficult. But worse, the wind carries snatches of pure negative energy that can damage the mind of the Lich. Therefore, preparing for the journey to plane is hard and takes months of preparation. But the knowledge that is possible to obtain as the result - priceless!
