Diablo IV - Drowned Ideation (props) | Part 1

I would love to share with you some bits of my journey with the Diablo 4 team as a concept artist. They had a great approach to building the world through props and important environmental pieces - I loved that! It was so much fun!

Here is part one of my ideation on the Drowned faction props. I've tried to imagine some small stories of their interactions with the world, even if they are "enemies" of this world. I've tried to build a deep connection of this faction with their environment. How they use objects, how they change them, what traces they're leaving, and how they "use" humans in their rituals.

And then there's a bunch of rendered sketches that help show how these ideas from sketches can be fleshed out.

So much time has passed, and I don't remember who specifically worked on those things, but my respect and awe for our environment team have no limits - they just nailed it.
